THIS THREAD IS FOR MEMBERS TO POST UP THEIR N/A DYNO GRAPHS.

The Rules

1) Only post in this thread if you are posting a dyno graph and or an air/fuel graph.

2) Along with your dyno and/or air-fuel ratio graphs please list all ENGINE & TRANSMISSION MODIFICATIONS you have performed to your car.

3) Any posts not containing the above two graphs will be deleted.....NO EXCEPTIONS!

4) If you want to ask members questions regarding the information that they post in this thread, Please send them a Private message or start a new thread directing your questions to that person.

5) Since the performance forum's split into NA and FI, in April 2004, this thread is for N/A (naturally aspirated; i.e., no super chargers, turbo chargers, nitrous oxide, etc.) dynos. To post a Forced Induction dyno, please post it in the Forced Induction Performance forum's Official Dyno Thread.

Thanks,

Dingleweed

Noble Motorsport that build the Noble engines did this pull for my stock V6 with K&N 57i SRi.
The Noble engines are Ford V6 with 165bhp stock but rebuilt they push out 340 bhp at the flywheel. Sounds like a familiar starting point. This is an AWD dyno.
I'll post the new graph when the PCM catback is fitted ....and I'll be more careful with the coffee.

Much hotter day for the second dyno and running too rich (as usual with stock ECU), didnt reveal any gains at all but a fuel tuner would solve that perhaps. At least it does sound 50 bhp better and so feels a little quicker, but truth is zero increase at current level of tune.

New numbers 193hp, 206lb/ft.

Conditions similar, probably in the 50's and fairly high humidity. Baseline was done on a Mustang Dyno and the new run was on a Dyno Dynamics so it's far from apples to apples unfortunately.

Just had my Car Dynoed this weekend at a local Community College. Had some trouble setting me up, but finally got the Mustang Dyno to read after 20-30mins. It seems to me that the numbers are sort of low because 1) It's a Mustang Dyno 2) They had a lot of trouble setting up the reading for my car

Car: 2004 Tiburon, 2.7L V6, 6-Speed Tranny
Performance Mods (in sig): SSA headers (came with car), SSA catback, AEM CAI (w/ K&N Filter), 61mm BBTB, Stage IV Upper IM, NGK plugs, Magstar wires.
Results: MAX: 168 ft-LB Torque. 171 WHP. *Note*This was a 4th Gear Pull (I wanted to try 3rd, but they recommended 4th).
http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb45/BlindSnipersInc/Dyno109-1.jpg

**Edit**
Found my previous Dyno Graph from last time I ran on the Mustang Dyno (will post once scanned). It appears I got a whole 2whp extra from a Stage IV IM, BBTB, and Plugs + Wires and lost 6 ft-LB Tourge. My results from this weekend must be wrong....

Performance Mods (in sig): SSA headers (came with car), SSA catback, AEM CAI (w/ K&N Filter)
Results: MAX: 174 ft-LB Torque. 169 WHP.

5500 to Redline TQ Range: 4.4 to 5
Peak Horsepower: 189.5
Peak Torque: 185
Part includes: gasket flange, nuts and bolts, and instructions
Dyno notes: At 3400 rpm, the dynographs show a pickup in horsepower with the biggest gains at the 5000-rpm-till-Redline powerband in horsepower. At 5200 rpm, 20 hp is gained over baseline while at 5100 rpm, 20 lb-ft of torque is unleashed to the wheels. The exhaust has a throaty sound at low decibels, making it ideal for street driving.
Conclusion
When we began the power page, horsepower and torque checked in at 152.0 and 166.2 to the wheels. With the completion of three easy to install bolt on parts, the V6 Tiburon pounded the dyno with an impressive 170.7 hp and 176.1 lb-ft of torque. An increase of 18.9 hp and 10.1 lb-ft of torque over baseline. A quick of the car showed a more responsive throttle and quicker rpms than previously. We have to give the Tiburon props on drivability and fun factor.

and new dyno graph will be posted when headers, exhaust, + new CAI are installed
and for the jerks who said I cant reach 189, suck it. I've already got a speeding ticket + chase for driving past 155- whoever said I cant go past 130 is a fool. I could go a little past 140 stock, and speed stick gets me more hp, also kicking the chip in like crazy once I hit 120, shifting it once more after 4th gear.

i read these N/A threads you know, I'm not an idiot and I know how to make my car fast w/o dropping a turbo in it. =P

High mileage or Mustang Dyno could explain the 10whp lower than typical numbers.

Gotta love a Mustang Dyno. Good for Tuning, not for generic numbers runs, plus what they show depends on the knowledge of the operator in setting up the Vehicle parameters correctly.

THat's actually a good dyno Jon, shows that a tuner on your car would actually help out. I cant believe how fat your car runs. That 138 whp equates to an easy 144-148 whp on a dynojet , so your pretty much right on the monies with all the rest:3_chubby:

I plan on getting a tuner with I/H/E, but I'm pondering the idea of turboing it. lol I swore before I bought it that it was only my daily driver!!! lol I just hate driving slow non-turbo vehicles.

Installed Ebay CAI, DC headers, and Ebay Catback. Here are the results 3 weeks later on the same Mustang dyno that I did the stock run on:

Completely Stock:

First dyno with I/H/E overlayed on the stock dyno:

Second dyno run with I/H/E overlayed on the previous two:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v214/SharkRacer/2005%20Tiburon/th_Dyno2.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v214/SharkRacer/2005%20Tiburon/?action=view&current=Dyno2.jpg)

I gained 27hp and 26ftlbs. I may or may not be running an O2 CEL, but I reset the ECU and ran it for 10 miles before the dyno.
I'm satisfied by the gains. I'll hop on a DynoJet soon for bragging numbers.:3_wink:

Everyone knows the dyno reads low. For comparison, a stock 07 Mustang GT dyno'd 240hp 242tq. A stock 370Z dynoed 220hp.

I'd be curious to see the AFR curve before and after..

30k miles on the car, everything was stock, except:
eBay CAI
eBay Catback
Random Tech Cat
DC Sports Headers

All the fluids are original except the engine oil:
Castrol Syntec 5w40
87 octane pump gas

Factory original clutch/flywheel, stock motor mounts, original plugs and wires, etc...

You can hear a little hesitation in 2nd and 3rd gear which I think is coming from the P0133 and P0153 codes it threw while on the dyno. Primary O2 sensor slow response, on both banks 1 and 2. Car was trying to run lean in closed loop (not WoT right?) and the computer got irritated we think. Will be replacing the sensors soon if I can't fix 'em by spraying them with MAF cleaner. :)

Dynojet Dyno:
170 whp
175 ft/lbs

a stock 2003 tiburon gt 2.7 is 140whp??? is that right?

I've seen more stock V6 6 speed Tibs dyno around 145 to 150whp on a DynoJet than I can count on my left and right hands. This is mostly because DynoJets are pretty popular.

Mustang dyno's typically read lower than DynoJets and Land & Sea DYNOMite systems read higher (usually around 15%).

Case and point, my car dyno'd 180whp on a DynoJet with I/H/E. The following year I have installed a NGM Stage 4 IM and a NGM tune (both these items aren't going to pick up much peak power) and on a L&S DYNOmite dyno I dyno'd 212whp.

No way in hell I picked up 32 whp from those mods. That would take cams and polished head work to get.

Subtract 15% off of 212whp and you get 180whp. It just carries on much longer in the upper range which is what the Stage 4 is designed to do in my case.

Another example is right above this post. Doomsday's DYNOmite dyno of just Intake and Exhaust.
It's well documented here that V6 manual Tibs with just intake and exhaust dyno around 160 whp with these two mods on a DynoJet. Subtract 15% of his 186.6whp figure and you get.....158.61whp.

But again, dyno's are useful mainly for tuning and checking the power under the curve. Everything else is a numbers game. The numbers will only be usefull if you continue to use the SAME dyno. Otherwise, run it at the track and the 1/4 mile time will determine power output.

That's lovely.

Care to shed more light on the subject, like posting your dyno chart, specs, mods, etc.?

Personal testimony is fun to read but pictures are more fun.
