Yo guys, I'm out of a job right now so I have no money. I've had my Tib for over a year now and want to start with the K&N Filter. I was wondering if any of you guys out there with the K&N filter notice any big difference in performance. I'm thinking of buying it after reading all of the testimonials and hearing from a friend but I want to be sure. Also, how much did you guys spend for it? Thanks........

heard they make a nice little difference, haven't found one at a local pep boys or auto-zone. Seen them online for about 50 bucks.

Save up a little more and get an APEXi Power Intake air filter...they're the best on the market...plus the dry filter element (as opposed to wet K&N-oil) won't affect air flow meter elements...

take out ur resonator box, ur filter box, slap on a k&n filter on ur intake pipe and BAM! short ram!(^_^)

pepboys have k&n filters(in my area) like 30-40 bucks.

Do you mean the replacement k&n filter 33-2201 or a CAI?

I ordered the replacement filter and the member "platinum" has it already installed!

Where is a good place to get the apexi and the adapter?

Just search. EBay. Options Auto. The adapter is hard to find but you can get the adapter and filter together on EBay from someone in Singapore for a good price. Other than that, you have to call up places so they can order adapters because I've found not many people carry them. Options Auto has it listed but they are always out of stock. Or you can get it made at a machine shop. You wil see what it looks like on the intructions that come with the APEXi filter. Or, sometimes a pic is listed of it on EBay.

Best bang for the buck is the whole cold air intake. If you are low on cash, you could look for a used one in the For Sale section, or look for one on eBay. You might even be able to make one yourself. But you can probably get the whole thing for $100 if you wait around and jump when it comes up.
