I have a local company that does great ceramic coating, and I was think of getting these Stainless Headers coated, to give it that permanent polished look, so it won't blue, and to keep the temperatures cooler.

Any advise on this? (i.e. Good, bad, buy another already ceramic coated, not needed, etc...)

Do it. I detest when SS headers turn color. You don't need to buy another set of ceramic-coated headers. Just send those out. :)

Well both if possible. I remember when I was going to sned my Pahaake intake to get coated and they said they can do both inside and outside. Honestly, it just depends on how much you want to spend. At least get the outside. If you want maximum thermal resistance, do both inside and out. Just M2C

Yeah, Jaymanns look nice and Gold.... very sweet... but SteveGels are this very dull brown... not sure why that is... I guess every car is different...

It won't Steve. The ceramic-coating isn't thick. And if it does cover up the bolt holes, you could easily drill them somewhat larger to accomdodate the bolt once again. You'll be fine with the coating.

Not much actually. Try Jet-Hot Coating. Particularly their Sterling finish I believe. They are very good.

oneandonly1, that looks pretty nice... The sterling finish would be real nice! Just need to know what their prices are like... I can't send an email to 'em from here, so I'd have to wait until later. If it's not too exhorbitant, I'd like to do that to the headers I'm getting soon..

I believe they told me $8 per foot on intake pipe. They also quoted me on headers and intake manifold but I forgot and since then I erased the corresponding e-mail they sent me. However, do send them one with dimensions if you choose to and even if you don't have dimensions they will give you rough estimates since they do this ALL the time. Also, you will probably be speaking with Todd.

I'm having them do some work for me from my strut bar (polished), valve cover (polished), and headers (polished).

I got a quote for right at $40 for the strut bar, $60 for the valve cover, and somewhere around or under $200 for the headers. I have to call again to be sure for the headers price.

$200 for the headers? Ouch.... considering the headers I'm gonna get are about $250.

At about $8 per foot of pipe.. the headers are maybe 10-15 feet total... that would be like $80 to $120 or so... THAT isn't a bad deal.

Like I said it might have been a lot lower, but we were talking about all kinds of different pricings, options, etc. I will call him bakc to ask though.

Ah Steve, I remember you have V6 so that's two headers basically. Mine was cheaper because of I4 header. My bad. Forgot about that.

Get the Hot Shot Headers. They are allready ceramic coated. I love mine. Contact Fixer to get them.

aren't the hot shot headers like $700? i want ceramic coating too, but i already bought nextgen's a while ago, so i might as well get them coated instead of them just sitting in my den. is there any chance of a gb? if not i might just contact that jet hot place.

Ceramic coating does not keep the "polished look". After just 20 km/miles, look at my manifold in the pic below..... It becomes a flat white/grey.

You should do it inside and out. And you should have no problems with fitting after. Ceramic coating is very thin.
