All I have found are Centerforce, ClutchMaster, KORE sells SPEC clutches, and Kspec sell one called Valeo. I think I'm gonna jump on the centerforce on ebay.

I personally would (and was going to) buy the Centerforce Clutch & Fidanza Flywheel. That setup is holding for TC, so that is all I need to hear.

Solo, I believe TC was going to sell the Centerforces for like $450 (with throwout bearing). I believe that is "desdog" selling them on Ebay (for a good price) but you will still need to get the TO bearing. According to Centerforces website they do make one for the Tib (p/n 134). ;)

i have spec stage 4 and alum flywheel and i hate it

it judders so bad. I think my motor is gonna fall out.

i ordered a stage 3 rom kore but they ****ed up and sent me a stage 4 i didnt wanna wait 6 weeks for the stage 4 to "arrive" and then another 6 weeks for the stage 3 to "get shipped". So i installed the stage 4.

I am going with the centerforce as soon as i get the cash.

Hey man, does yours grab right at the top in like an inch. I have the same setup, and mine is a pain in the ass to drive . Goes like hell, but a pain to drive. We should hook up to do a comparison

Just get the clutchmasters, holds around 400 hp, highly streetable, plus you won't have to worry about dealing with spec clutches.

ya it does grab pretty quick.... I find a little rough for everyday driving but it does go like hell!!
The setup is much easier to drive with now, the first couple weeks were rediculous untill I broke in the pressure plate springs.
I am up for a meet n e time. just let me know....

Hey Solo I talked to Centerforce and the tech said that you had to order the bearing and alignment tool separtely. Where did you order yours from?

desdog
02-08-2004, 09:44 AM
Yeah I talked to centerforce and they said the bearing and the alignment tool was not included. On my new listing, I have that clearly stated. Solo, I think you also ordered one off the last auction. I will PM you pricing info for those items. Anyone else, I sell them at my site too at www.redemptionracing.com . I know my SPEC prices are good except the flywheels. I will edit the flywheels to match ptuning.com at $390. But remember my prices are shipped prices. Free shipping on everything inside the usa.

Did anyone figure out the spacing issue on the flywheel? Last I heard there were two different thinknesses on the flywheel and that the wrong one for your car wouldn't work.

According to ptuning.com up to build date 1/2003 uses part # - PT193361 which is 1 1/16" thick, after 1/2003 you need part # - PT193461 which is 1 3/8" thick. This on their website if you need more info email ptuning.com

What is the difference between spec clutches as compared to others such as centerforce or clutchmaster?

has anyone done a clutch swap on their own? I want to know how hard it is to do. Also if someone has done it then please post a DIY.

I have personally used the Centerforce DF on my car with ~400hp. Daily driven and raced on the weekends. Pedal feel is just like stock and it never slipped or got soft at the track.....

I have them with free shipping....

oh yeah the car was a DSM.
