Does anyone know "for a fact" wether the SE-R Spec-V's LSD does or does not fit on a 6 speed Tib?

Thanks

Thus far, no, no one truly knows one way or the other. If someone does have any information they will probably start their own post. Keep an eye on the forum. If it happens it will probably be stickied as everyone is dying to know.

yes..with HEAVY modification, it will fit...just buy an LSD that was specifically built for the tib and save yourself the hassle

That's what i'm confused about. If the 6 speed tib has the same transmission as the
SE-R Spec-V's , then there should be no modification needed.

Is there LSDs on the market for the 6 speed tib?

It was posted on the old forum sometime ago but someone emailed the transmission manufacturer and they replied eventhough they are the same transmission the bell housings are different which makes the lsd incompatible

the bell housing has nothing to do with the LSD.

if the pitch of the gears are the same then it would probably fit.

Talked to a guy that worked at key performance and he also says the lsd from the specv does not fit in the tib transmission. Unless you want to modify it. And it would be a pain in the a$$.

If the tranny from the SE-R Spec-V is so similar to ours, and please go easy I'm no mechanic so this might be a stupid qurestion, how hard would a tranny swap be? Are the SE-R Spec-V's gears taller or shorter? If they're taller, higher top speed, I would like that. Anyway this might be impossible, or maybe just not very cost effective, but I'm sure there's a SE-R Spec-V in a junkyard somewhere. This would be a way to get limited slip...
