I'm actually talking with a company to get a new leather shift boot made right now, and they will start the R&D as soon as I send them my factory one to use as a template. I'm also trying to get the new ones made without the velcro as well because I don't think it is necessary. They will be really good boots, though, that I can assure you! You just can't beat genuine Italian leather! I'll have more information later this week, and I'll be posting a new thread with all the details so stay tuned.

I don't have the B&M shifter, I have BassTibs, but the leather stays together OK.
Here's a pic.

im up for a new boot! pm me when its doneJust look out for a new thread talking about a new shift boot because I'll be posting it up here real soon. But as a temporary fix, try moving you snap-strap (where the top of the boot comes together with the snap) up over the bottom lip of the lift ring. That is how I have mine right now and I don't have any problems, but I'm using Basstib's version, like Keith03GT, so that might make a difference. But it won't hurt to try though! Good luck!

Who the hell cares what type of leather the shift boot is made out of?? You're not wearing it or sitting on it....waste of freakin money if ya ask me.
