Do you know R51? Subsidary performance parts distribution in Korea of OILBANK RACING TEAM.

Currently testing and dyno 248degree V6 high cams for higher duration.

Installing high cams only producing 156whp at 20.3kg-m torque. dyno graph attached.

Adding open short ram air and R51 high cam producing 167.9whp at 21.7kg-m

Currently adding Megaphone exhaust manifold to test further.

hrmmm, doesnt look to be too much of an improvmnt over stock, looks to have moved the HP band up about 500 RPMS, but I want that much power at 7500 RPMS

So is it still stock lift of 314? Is there a before dyno to see the difference?

Grrrr

this is beginning to piss me off. No one can seem to make a set of cams taht will bring peak torque much past 5k rpms. Our cam situation is disappointing to me. I mean im glad Glen made 197 whp with his cams but they did the same thing torque dropped off after 5k so did Wnite_NA's cams and so do these.

WHY is torque dropping like a brick so badly after 5k rpms? are we in need of some stiffer valve springs? I noticed an ls1 dyno that the torque dropped off l ike ours and replacing the stock valve springs made useable power for another 1500 rpms. this is with stock cams. This is becoming a disappointment.

no offence to anyone.

Info from Injen CAI stated that a stock Tib made 144.5 WHP so i would say that almost 12 WHP gain isn't bad for a mild cam Also does the cam just increase the duration or does it also increase the lift? that will make a difference. Any time you increase the duration of a cam shaft it will move the power up the RPM scale, which in our case isn't all bad. I don't know about the rest of you guys with mods but traction in first gear isn't very good. Another point on the dyno, it looked to me that the power started to drop after 6300 RPM, also not a bad thing. I'am hoping to get my 200WHP kit that i ordered from nextgen real soon and after i get it installed with the clutch and flywheel package i'll get it dyno'd and i'll see how close i come to Dingleweeds dyno.

Arrgh. Where is the before dyno? Hard to determine much without the before.

hrm i personally wouldnt give up on those cams yet. I'd wait to see what other bolt ons will do for the gain.

Its just a start. Elisa was never popular in Korea due to price.....people prefer to buy import cars with V6 cost adding little more.

So, development is still new. REAL Korea also have V6 cams made, but I don't have any spec yet or dyno....

Give it some time..
