Tibs use hydraulic clutches which cannot be adjusted.

ok here is the problem.see i was under the impression that you could tighten a hydraulic clutch??my clutch is giving problems, yet only has 7k miles on the car. when i let the clutch out you hear this clicking noise constantly, and then when i press it in,it goes away for the time.and the clutch feels like it presses in way to much now.and the fluid is full on the clutch.

Tiburon clutches suck. Other people with same problems have had to have the clutch replaced.

Most of the problem resides in the type of flywheel the stock clutch utilizes....

Aftermarket is definately reccomended

If you have a cool dealership maybe they will install the aftermarket clutch under warranty. Of course you'll have to pay for the clutch kit, but maybe they will do the labor under warranty. It's a longshot but it's worth a try! You should do it quick though your clutch warranty is only for 12 months/ 12,000 miles.

I have a quick question about the clutch. This probly has been addressed before but i dont have the time to search. My clutch has been sticking a little bit lately. By that I mean that during shifts it kind of sticks right before it goes in gear, and in some cases it doesnt go in and the collar grinds the gear. This annoys the **** out of me. any info appreciated

If by tighten, you mean shorten the throw of the clutch. It's possible. I had my clutch replaced and had them shorten the throw of my clutch. Because it's really long stock. I'm not to big on car terms though. Just my .02

The 12,000 limit is only on the clutch linings, not everything related to the clutch. (Read the warranty)
However, many dealers will try to tell you that any problem with the clutch is limited to 12,000 miles because they make a lot more money if you pay for the clutch.

Most likely a bad throwout bearing

I had them do the same thing when my clutch was replaced. It feels so much better this way.

Ye, stock clutch sucks ass. I'm tearing mine up to bits. More of a reason for me to get an aftermarket one.

I have read my warranty, and I have had them replace a clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, and press. plate after 12,000 miles because the problem was documented twice before I went over 12,000 miles. My point was that if doesn't go there before the 12,000 miles and get it documented and he goes over that and then has a problem they aren't going to want to pull it out for him without charging the sh!t out of him for it. The dealership will try and blame the problem on the clutch disc and poor driving skills. Many dealers have tried to do this to many people on these boards.

This is true, but there have been many bad install issues on stock clutches in the past. I personally found this out the hard way and verified by lookin on the boards. I then proceeded to beat the ever-loving hell out of my clutch till it started slipping (not hard to do) and got a brand new one installed "correctly" within 2 days (not too bad I think). It is a LOT better, though it's not an aftermarket clutch mind you, it is still better than when I first bought the car.
