Hey guys, I am looking for info and help on a nitrous topic. I was woundering about if I should buy a NOS system and how much of HP should be VERY VERY SAFE to increase with the NOS?
Like which one of this shot of 25, 50, 75, or 100 HP should be very good to a newbbie and a man who want to just have his car nice not to broke anything of damage something.

Thanks for the help!! God bless

N20 is just as safe as a supercharger, but do yer homework too as i did. 55 shot is safe and works on stock fuel pump with 92 octane or better. everyone says that the wet shot is a little better and safer than the dry, but i have no probs yet with the dry shot either, so yeah, N20 is best bang for yer buck. good luck !!!! oh yeah, change yer stock spark plugs to 2 steps colder too!!!

Does changing the plugs two steps colder affect normal driving in ANY way? I want to run nitrous, but am still learning all that I can about it.

hell no!! ive actually got a little hp increase by doing so, ive got the Zex plugs, which it doesnt idle funny, run weird or anything. its just so when ya hit the N20, yer cylinders will run hotter, so a colder plug is needed to take the heat and pressure. some people go with Iridium plugs which is ok, but a little expensive. so either way is good, but do it right and you'll love having NNNAAAWWWZZZ!!! lol to be honest, ive got the Zex dry kit, which uses bottle pressure so ya get more shots per bottle than most other kits. activates at wide open throttle so when ya arm it, just floor it and it kicks in, no buttons to push or solenoids to mess with. go to www.zex.com if yer interested in this kit. Nos and Nitrous works use this design too i believe. any more questions?? id be glad to help. look at the nitruos FAQ too in this forum.

yes i would recommend ZEX over anything. 55 to 75 horsepower on stock is fine to run. just done do normal driving with the damn thing armed, cause not only will you be refilling your bottle non stop, but it will screw something up. but make sure you replace your sparks with zex spark plugs, like everyone else said. you will get some problems after a few times using nos if you dont.

Not to sound against any of this info as all of it is to my best knowledge true. However wet shots are much more efficient and safe. Direct Port being the best. Also if your gonna use it for street racing then the WOT trigger works fine. However if your gonna be drag racing you might want a little more control and use a timed controller (big bucks and lots of tunning) or the "F & F" thumb triggers, your not gonna always want to shoot your load at WOT, inexperienced drivers hit walls fast that way!

Just my 2 cents.

yes, that is correct, wet is better than the dry shot, but for the money dry is a good way to start. have fun and good luck..
