Since they wont allow me question them in thier thread I'll do it in my own. I'm not really trying to hurt them...I just think you guys giving them money should be treated like real investers. When you give them money to do R&D on a product you own a portion of that product and a portion of all future profit. Now if they wanted to work out a deal where you got your SC for free than that might be alright. But as it stands you guys are getting took. If they dont want to give you what you deserve make 'em go to a bank and get a loan...or pay for thier own R&D out of pocket. Its not like they wouldnt earn the money back if its a good product. At least get some sort of contract from them....that way you have some protection under the law if they try to run with your money. They came here looking for free money this whole thing is fishy to me.

Getting hundreds of dollars off the final kit price isn't good enough? They are an established company who has kits out for Toyotas and Mitsus so I find it unlikely that they're just going to hightail it with your cash. How is that not fair? And the grand goes towards the purchase price, so you get 100% of that back.
Now, if you were to go to them with the full $10k and NOT buy a kit, maybe you could demand sustained income on all future kits, but a $1k investment to save $400-500 on the final kit is not a bad ROI. 40+% return in 2-3 months, with the only stipulation is you must buy the kit.
Getting a contract is certainly not a bad idea. You don't want them to keep pushing the release date back. I would demand a deadline at which point they either option you the kit or are required to pay you your $1000 back. Without a contract they could dick you around for months and months saying "it is almost done, it is almost done..." until the end of time. If they don't think they will do that, they should have no problem signing a contract saying they'll give you your $1000 back if they miss the deadline, right?
Nothing is set in stone in the business world. If you think they won't get their investors with their current terms, contact them and make your own offer.

what the heck is the point of this thread?
Everyone who signed in knows about all the details.
If you are not for it, then keep it shut.
It's a whole lot better than paying deposits to pay for someone else's sc.

RippMods is a well established company that has done this same method a few Times for different vehicles, and it all worked. Face it, hyundais aftermarket sucks, and if they want us to do a lil investment in return for furthering HYundais aftermarket, then That is fine by me. And let me guess, you will be the first one to be buyinga completed kit once all of the investers get thier kits!!!
