StreetShark 02-12-2004, 10:42 PM I was racing last night, and after one run I developed a odd buzzing cound from my engine/ front of the car. It is a small buzz, sound just like if you took a piece of plastic and let it sit on a spinning tire. It only buzz's arond 3k RPMS and doesn get loud, just buzz's. Any ideas? The buzzing sound sounds like a fan buzzing up against plastic. It isnt loud. But I can still hear it in the car and out. now when it is sitting in Neutral and i raise the RPMs to 2k i hear it again. it doesnt buzz in 4th 5th or 6th... I know my buzzing was right around and above 3200 rpm and did it everytime I accelerated harder than normal. I put a high flow cat on, and it went away. when did you install your headers? Sounds like it is coming from my gauge cluster. actually i had this simmilar poblem i thought it came from the engine. but i dont know does it sound like its coming from ur engine? because mine sounded almost like a basebal card on a bicycle wheel's spoke. with the wheel spinning slowly. and the sound is much softer...hahahah that wasnt that good of analogy. but yeah i went to hyundai and they said they couldnt find anything wrong. Eh? but now after a good 2000 miles and some usual checkup and recall work the sound went away? maybe the tech found something while he was doing a recall fix and just fixed it i dont know? or maybe its cuz of the 2000 miles i put on, but the sound is gone? tuscanitorque 02-13-2004, 04:16 PM man and i gotta stop quoting people for no reason SMOKIN 02-13-2004, 04:21 PM I notice a constant hum from my intake....it stays at the same pitch no matter the RPM's.....
