Ok this is stupid.I am about to buy a 2004 Tiburon.I am planning on adding a TBC ASAP.And before i do this i would like some input on how well these TBC's perform on all five engines for the 2004 tiburons. Please dont reply with opinions.I am looking for facts/specs.I have searched this forum and wasnt able to get some solid information.Like i said this thread is stupid in the fact that common sense tells me the bigger engine, the better, but i am concerned about engine/transmission space among others.

There is only one TC for the V6. Available from shark racing. Retials about 4k, and makes 220whp.
As for teh I4, there are a few options.

huh?

BETA's love the boost. You can achieve about 10 PSI safely on stock compression. There is ample room ( which you should know) There are many kits out there if you do not want to put in the time and effort in building your own kit. Each is ok ALPINE I would say is the most reliable.

read Maximum Boost by Corkey Bell.

There is one also available from 1320 aka TEAMSR..sharkracing is not affiliated with TEAMSR anymore. And id also like to point out this guy thought a proper abriv. for a Turbo consisting of 5 letters was TB!

What part of Please dont reply with opinions.I am looking for facts/specs did you miss? Isnt there a thread for flaming?Or do you feel the need to flame everyone that doesnt know as much as you?

I am not jumping the gun here.I have been trying to find as much info as i could before spending alot of money. If i took every company's word about how great there products work i would go broke.Thats why i came to this forum to get members experiences on the products out for this car.My questions were simple.I wanted to know if there are any fitment issues with adding turbo to larger engines in a small car like the tiburon.

My bad StreetShark.I guess you cant judge a book by its cover(website forum)Very nice looking forum(props to the moderator) Even still Samba really did help me out.Im really not a bad guy,I just hate when people look for any reason to flame someone.I mean come on Just cause i said TBC instead of TC.And just to make a point...some car related forums do call turbo chargers TBC.Be real people i corrected myself as soon as i realized samba thought i meant a throttle body. Now that that has been said.Heres another question you can flame me for.Does anyone recommend i go T/C or S/C for the v6?Concerned about quality and reliable. And easier installation is always nice.......<~~~~~ puts on his flame suit

Once i get the GUDE info back, you can check that out. it is really a great deal, plus you get a turbo Header and J&S spark management system, and more. Give me a day to get the post back up! you'll see it in the performance forum, and hopefully stickied again! cost will be 2650, plus you can get 10% back through the group buy.

Does anyone recommend i go T/C or S/C for the v6?Concerned about quality and reliable. And easier installation is always nice.......There is a member here, TC(Nextgen03gt) and he has developed a Stage 2 kit for the Alpine Supercharger. He's been running PSI above 10lbs for quite a while and having no issues...

Here's a link to where he talks about 16-18lbs of boost, and a 100 shot!!

is there a limit to how big of a shot of nos you should run with a turbo charger?I know if you have good aftermarket parts on then it will be fine, but i only have a stock intake manifold, and i run a 85 horse power shot of NOS, with a turbo should it hurt it if i run that amount?

Does the Alpine Supercharger kit from Next Gen Motors work on both the 5 and
6 speed trans. Also does the evo fusion turbo kit work on both 5 and 6 speed
trans. Also will I see any generalized performance differences with that extra 6th gear. The reason why I ask is tommorrow I am going to the dealership to buy a 2004 v6 gt and I am going to buy either the turbo or supercharger kit. I just dont want to find out down the road that I would have been better off with one or the other. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated

first off man I wasn't flaming you, but I have had my car for about 5 months and read countless posts on various different forums and I have tried to figure out which guys know their stuff and just in general before plunking money down. I didn't do much looking before I ordered exhaust and thank god it was delayed in shipping because I decided I didn't want it. I realized, thanks to this forum and some of its knowledable members that the exhaust I was getting wasn't worth the money. So, I was trying to be helpful when I advised you to learn a little more before spending money. This car hasn't been around long enough for many local tuner shops to know what to do with them, so you have to learn a lot of the tricks yourself. Not to mention if you get the V6 there are hardly any shops out that will know what to do with it. I know where I live if its not a Honda they really don't know what to do to an engine.
About the 6spd vs 5spd, its a tough call. I went 6spd for several reasons, one I thought it was cool to have the extra gear and two I wanted that particular package and three it was the only car I could find when I was looking. Personally I think (not having driven a Tib 5spd) I would prefer the 5 spd. I hardly ever need 6th gear except for just keeping RPM's down on the freeway.
As for turbo vs supercharger, I am waiting until I can afford the turbo. The supercharger involves less engine tuning unless you really get crazy with your mods, but I like the turbo sound and I like that it causes less parasitic power loss then the S/C(supercharger). Also the turbo gets the same horsepower increase at 4PSI boost as the S/C gets at 8PSI boost thus probably being easier on the engine in the long run. Also I want to hear the pssst sound when I shift. Just personal preference really. Either one will be fun. Oh yeah right now I know that if you pay completely(all at once) for the turbo from www.teamsr.com then it only costs $3375 or something like that and you get headers, intake, intercooler and all the related turbo parts. if you buy the S/C kit from NextGen it costs like $5000, but that kit does come with more stuff.
