Well here is my problem.. whenever i shift from 2nd-3rd my car redlines.. then sticks there for a second then shifts.. then goes SLOW in third till about 4,500RPMS.. THEN KICKS again hard. This happened after i reset my ECU after my CAI install i have I/H/E. My friend says that it is having problems and is locking up at the wrong times and such.. what do you think this problem could be? Also... he told me to just take my foot of the gas then slam it down again at redline and that has seemed to work.. but it sounds weird sometimes with my ****ty auto and all. So guys.. do you know what the problem is other than the fact that i bought a 4speed instead of a 6speed?

well...is the power Alot less under 4500 or just in 3rd gear?
because our power bands from the factory start to kick in at around 3500.
but you have prolly lost some of your low end torque with the free flowin headers.
try this, when you redline watch your dash when you see the tach hit 6200 and your gear indicator go from 2 to 3 dont touch the stick and let up half peddle for half a sec til you here it engage , then mash the peddle again.
what it sounds like is happening is you are winding out our torque converter. its tryin to catch up but your holding the gas down to much.
aslo remember with those mods your new power band will be between 4500 and 6200 to for maxthrottle response you'll need to keep it there.

since this is an adaptive tranny you need to reset the ecu and then take it easy and go up through the gears then down slowly over a distance (if possible just let it coast back down to first) to a stop not in shifttronic so it can relearn the shiftpionts and such try this then let me know if i was right or wrong
so basically.. dont gun it in my car till my car learns what it needs to do?
I'll try and take it easy on her then.
The problem always seems to be only from 2nd to 3rd.. any reasons for this?

pretty much, as for the problem when you put the cai on did you gun it from 1st to 2nd then let off?

after my reset... probably.. yes, im an idiot.

sounds like the torque converter...
...try what bobo said and reset the ecu and just take it easy for a day or 2...then see if it happens again...

i dont beleive anything is wrong you just moved your power band with the headers it only feels slow under 4500 because of the massive difference in power after 4500.
just let up alil and shift either manualy or redline.
the 'weird noise " you hear is the torque converter spinning trying to catch up when you shift. its normal .
just practice and keep your shifts atleast 5500 so when you upshift it drops back in at at least 4500 and you'll stay right in the meat of your power band.
my CEL is back on, and so is my power... EXPLAIN WHY!

I don't know what you guys are talking about but after reseting my ecu with my auto I have alwys hammered the **** out of it and I have never had any issues.
I would suggest taking it to the dealer cause it sounds like you have some issues that have to be addressed.
