ok guy looks like this is really starting to piss you off here..... have you tried removing the intake and putting the factory one back on? If not try that and drive it arround for a week or so and see if the CEL comes back on. If not the you know that something is wrong with your install. I had a similar problem. Everytime I went through a car wash my CEL would come on. Turned out that I had to put a different silicone fitting on the throttlebody end of the intake so it could move around some when the engine in underload. What kept happening was only when the engine was underload it would rock and creat a gap just big enough in the intake after the MAF to throw a CEL. But when you poped the hood to check it all everything seem tight and fine. So try puting you factory back on and see what happends and let me know.

I am telling you, I went around and around in circles with this... and it was fixed very easily.

the little mounting bolt by the battery (at least for me anyway) allowed the intake to move way too much making contact with the hole the intake went through to the wheel well.

I really think in 90% of the AEM CEL's its truly because the intake isnt adjusted properly... eg, no pipes come even CLOSE to body, or battery, or break lines.... or that the little hose to the intake manifold isnt tight enough.

My solution that has worked absolutely 100% was to get a rubber plumbers stopper and have it cut in half so the length was approximatelyh equivalent to that of the stock mounting bolt thing....

Then I had a hole drilled in it... got a bolt approximately the same length as the overall height with the same thread pattern. so from the bottom up
I have

rubber stopper thing

washer

intake fork

the head of the bolt (which in my case was similar to another washer.

I havent had problems with my intake since and that cost me like 2$ in parts at the local hardware store.

It very well could be something else causing CEL's but I really think its a good chance its one of the above.

rather than the dumb bolt to rubber thing back to a bolt thing, the bolt is actually solid... so its quite a bit more firm. Honestly you shouldnt NEED to do this, but thats what I found to solve the problem. Also re-adjusting the hoses to make it nice and firm, etc.

I can give you a couple ideas because i just got done fixing my intake problems from my car.

-one is, make sure that your intake is bolted down properly,if its not and its jump when you nail the gas,it can throw a cel.

-make sure that the wires to the MAF are not tight, remember your engine does move alot when you hit the gas really hard, cause those wires to tug and throw a cel.

-lol make s ure that damn gas cap is on,its a pain.

-check your brake booster hose, if you use a aem intake it will sooner or later cause that hose to puncture.

-after you check these, try and clean the MAF,with a cu-tip and some alcohol, and be very, very careful when cleaning.just lightly dab it.
