I won a bid on ebay for the OBX style exhaust, does any one have this exhaust and how much modification is needed to make it fit properly and how is the sound?

If your charcoal box needs modification, have the shop move the box to the trunk under the spare tire.
Even with the silencers in, the exhaust is very loud.

Is it to loud in the car resonating or only loud on the outside, or not worth it?

I have the full setup, OBX/SSAutochrome headers, straight-pipe cat, and exhaust. I haven't heard it side by side yet, but I don't think it is quite as loud as OZTuscani's car (OBX headers, MBRP exhaust, among many other things). I have the silencers in and fully closed. I'm sure if I pulled the silencers out it would compete.

It's a tad loud for my taste and I have a slight buzz-type sound around 3000-3500rpm, but it isn't completely obnoxious. I don't hear it over my stereo cruising on the highway. It sounds killer at full throttle at 4000rpm and up. The whole car comes alive.

i like mine
i paid 525 for it
also, relocate your charcoal box, it is MUCH easier than modifying your charcoal box housing.

as for loudness, not as loud as my old cutom magnaflow setup... and i had smaller tips that didn't even amplifiy it much on there... and this exhaust has some good sized tips...

I have the Key headers and a 2 1/2'' dynomax system with a magnaflow cat. I get the same buzz in the same RPM's but it isnt weedwacker..its more z28..

This is a great exhaust for the money I paid 317 for the exhaust shipped. We tried to replace the char box to inside the spare tire well, but I had my amp under there so we just cut the box. The exhaust is low and loud with out the silencers. Here's some pics yo

Only one word to descibe the sound "Bad Ass" its deep and it a bit loud but then agin thats what most of you want isnt it a louder exhaust?

I had mine installed about a week ago, didnt have to mod the charcoal box as the car is a June 2002 model, fits perfect, and sounds real nice. Recomend to anyone who is looking for a cheaper exhaust.

Cheers

i wish my tips were centered
they are bent outward, but the metal is so thin, that no shops want to fix it for me.

OMG.. I just took out he silencers. SO LOUD... very ricey. I have headers as well so the sound is ungodly. Need to get a glasspack or hi-flow cat installed. It feels better with them out, but the sound outweighs the gains. Sound clip soon.
