I run a 95 Zex Nos kit in my 03 gt at the current moment. Has any one used the cryo2 systems???how good are they? someone said they boost about 35 horsepower, thru extreme cold air induction?can any one vouch for the numbers? And can you run cryo2 and nos at the same time?or is that outta the question????

there used to be a thread in the old forums that I started, if you can find most of your answers are there. The cryO2 CAI system is just a small little bulb that sits in the intake and cools the charge so I assume it will not be in the way of nitrous. let me see if I can find the thread.

yea a guy that i usually race with told me exactly how it works and ****.but i forgot to ask if it will interfear with anything.if you find that thread, that would be great

You have a Zex Nos kit? WTF is it Zex or Nos.
Anyways yeah I belive you can run them together but i am not 100% sure. I will look around and tell you what i come up with

ummm... Zex is a brand of N02...aka Nitrous Oxide...aka "Nos" for short.

NOS is another brand all in itself

oh...well NOS isnt short for Nitrous Oxide the gas. Its short for Nitrous Oxide Systems..the company. Sorry im just having Fast and the Furious Flash backs. anyways back to topic sorry I havnt found anything yet but i will keep looking cause i am very interested in it my self

explain to me again why ZEX isnt a nitrous oxide system lol.
Yes NOS is a company as well as an acronym, that could be in essence used to say ZEX NOS, its just silly though considering NOS is a copywrited name for a company.

ANYWAY back to the topic at hand it says it lowers the intake temp by 35% right, lets say its a normal 80 degree day if you activate the cryo2 then it will theoretically bring the temp down to 52 degrees how much power is that really going to give you. would this kit be worth the price for maybe a few WHP? and i dont think this is injecting oxygen into the car because oxygen is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY volitile thats why we use nitrous oxide it is much more stable.

So does anyone actually have this system ? If so how well does it work ? i Havent really heard anything about it so it must not be that good, especially not for 600 bucks.

well i have seen the system for about 300 bucks, and on ebay i found one for like 175$$.but still i wanna know if this damn thing will be worth anything.i know it doesnt spray anything into your intake, just cools the bulb which cools the air coming in. the company claims that the bulb is areodynamic, but how aerodynamic can a chunk of metal be in your intake?? even if this only put 10 whp,or around that to me its sorta worth it,cause every horse counts.

I guess you'd have to find out which way is more effecient for producing a horsepower gain. Either:

a)Not-so-cold air passing effortlessly through the intake

or

b)Air that is slightly "blocked" but is a little cooler. I dont mean blocked as in less air will go, but that the air will have to slow down to move around the bulb - and even in that case only the air that goes by the bulb is going to be cooled, and since its flying by the bulb and not lingering near it, how much it will be cooled will be minimal.

I dont know the facts or specifics on either way, so do not take my opinion as factual - thats just my thinking on it.

Again, I call BS on the bulb. If it has to cool the air, then you aren't going to get as much HP gain as it would take to drive the cooling system. And if you have some other system that chemically cools the bulb, it might help, but nowhere near 35 hp. I'm thinking 1-3 hp. I would recommend a bigger shot of nitrous rather than that cryo thing.

N20 cools yer intake down good enuff..lol i wouldnt invest in a crappy cryo system myself for 600 smackers, but to each their own
