Remember the problem with OBX or NextGen Exhaust how they touch the Black Box under the trunk? As you can see the picture up there that Korean spec TuscanI(Tiburon) has smaller black box...... Those mentioned exhausts are copy of Veilside exhaust. When Veilside designed their exhaust for Tuscani(Tiburon) they used a Korean spec Tuscani(Tiburon)..... ;)

I like that exhaust, except the fact that it's angled outward, I like em better just straight on.

Oh I was talking about the muffler itself, and your right about the piping, that's about as straight as it's gonna get.

And thats no the SR Titanium Exhaust because there is a bend right before the muffler in SR's piping, in the picture above there isn't.

yea but 2 things....

1. he doesnt want "custom" under his name...which i feel the same...he just wants a brand name system...

2. not every place has a mandrel bending machine to where they can make the bends like that.

some place tried charging me $850 for mine...till i laughed in their faces...

I paid $300 Canadian for mine and another $100 for the mufflers.

It would have been far cheaper if I had done one like that.

Yes, that angle looks retarded. The piping is perfect, the angle of the muffler makes it look cheap. Get that adjusted,a dn its good to go.

I would think that a single exit exhaust on a Tib with 2 holes would not even look good at all if it was straight out.

Angle = super cool. Hence why I have mine. If it was straight you'd have to have way too many bends or if you go over the axel you are most likely gonna have the muffler pointing down and straight and that just looks funny.

Angle, and angled up just looks better. If you have one straight muffler then it just TOTALLY looks like something is missing.

Btw go look at pretty much every performance single exhaust for other cars.

hey Solo2Tib. your car was in my work at boucher chevrolet / hyundai and when your car was in for work me and 5 people were looking at your exhaust laughing because it was funny looking a hyundia tech. that works here drove your car and he says that it feels SLOWER with the exhaust that you have on it now.. i was like "seriously?" he said "yes it honestly feels SLOWER with that exhaust" on that you have buddy... i like the way the stock exhaust looks but yanno everyone has there own opinion and what not but i just thought i would let you know whats up and granted i like the way the rest of your car looks but when me and a bunch of my buddies at work were looking at your car from behind we were all shaking our heads at your car. and how you said:

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD A MECHANIC BE GETTING ON A CUSTOMERS CAR? its not his car to be ragging on. if i was solo, I would be freaking pissed to hell and back

First off,

No Offense to anyone around here that works at a Hyundia Dealership, because there are alot of smart people that work at them (example: Fixer), but... Alot of the people that work at dealerships only work there because it's a job... they don't really have much of a indepth knowledge on how half of the cars actually work that they work on, they usually 95% dependant on the shop manuals. Out of 4 Dealerships I've worked with, they are all friggin idoits... which is kinda funny cause I remember one dealership the tech was a old highschool friend of mine that didn't know the difference between a s/c and a t/c... So...

What some hyundai tech said, means absolutly crap... It also if very dependant on the type of setup your running (like if your going n/a, t/c, s/c, or other (nitrious, different duel setup, all that good ****) )

Solo's car is fast, he's got proof of that as well, also, if you wanna take a look over at the timeslip thread, you'll see ron169... whats ron got ? oh is that a custom single exhaust... I do believe it is... :) you see my point...

And Solo -- Thanks for the pic, just senf that to my muffler guy that was gonna do my custom exhaust he says he can replicate that and it will cost me 100$ less than previous priced :) thanks alot man :) (cept I can't tell what size that is, but I'm doing a 3")

the stock exhaust is crap, anything is an improvement over stock. as for his car feeling slower, it might feel slower off line but i am sure it has gained some top end. by the way there is a replacement for displacement its called forced induction.

Well, that pic is gonna be the model for me and my buddy doing my exhaust. small change to make it so I use both exhaust areas in my stock rear bumper. Doesn't look too hard

If I were Solo I wold be going back to that dealer and flippin a biscuit.

I would have to say that you and that tech and everyone who was laughing at solos car is a tool. It may not look the very prettiest but it works a hellova lot better. If you are going for performance and know anything about performance, single exhaust is the way to go and the straighter the better.

Ground clearance? We dont need no stinking ground clearance!

RS*R exhuast for some civic or WRX i think. Granted it goes completely under the car and suspension lol ground clearance, but its about as free flow as you can get with a muffler.

Straighter is better.

Well see here's what happened. I took my car there because the parking brake was freezing. So its there for a day and they say its caused by a defective caliper. So they order a caliper which is on backorder for like 2 weeks. So eventually I get my car, they pull it up and the damn parking brake is frozen again. So my car is STILL THERE because the damn tech is too god damn stupid to think, Hmmm, perhaps if the parking brake is freezing we should LOOK AT THE PARKING BRAKE!!! So I drove for an hour and a half back and fourth to the dealer for nothing. So tomorrow its supposed to be fixed again and they are gonna deliver it to my work since I work in the dealer group. Will since some idiots are beating the **** out of my car while its at the dealer I really don't want that to happen...

**** WILL hit the fan tomorrow.

I think there's a reason why the muffler is at a bend like that. If you straighten it out, then it might mess up the flow.
