Help me with the firing order and spark plug wire location

I have an '03 GT and I need to make sure the wires are going from the coil to the correct cylinder location. They may have been crossed. Either explain in good detail, or post a pic that will show all 6 cylinders. Thanks

Re: Help me with the firing order and spark plug wire location

well, i found the front three by looking at user's engine pics that were posted. I'm just trying to make sure I don't have any wires crossed. I know the coils are marked with the cylinder numbers, but I don't know what the numbering system is for the cylinders.
For example, i believe the front cylinders facing the car from left to right are 2, 4, 6. \
Facing the car, from left to right, are the back three 1, 3, 5?
Just want to be sure.

Re: Help me with the firing order and spark plug wire location

this is the diagram that threw me all off. It's incorrect. the numbers on the cylinders are correct, but look at the direction that the wires are going as they come off of each coil. There is an error in the manual.

Re: Help me with the firing order and spark plug wire location

Sorry will, you're mistaken. Look at the diagram carefully where the wires come off of the coils. The engine cylinders are labled correctly, however the wires coming off of the coils are reversed as to the direction they are going.

Re: Help me with the firing order and spark plug wire location

You know what, you're right. The first 2 coils are wrong as far as which wire goes to the front and rear banks, the 3rd coil is correct though.

Yep. that's exactly what I noticed. That's what messed me up originally.
