Re: ohio tibs

well i guess, but i live in stoutsvile, which is a very small, i do see tibs every once and a while. i drive a black GT 5-speed. The only thing ive done to it is intake and exhaust and some stereo stuff, tuscani badges and a nice shiny license plate cover that says tiburon on it.

But i usually cruise around circleville and lancaster whenever.

if your willing to drive down to wright state university, i can send you information on the next AutoX that I will hopefully be going to this time.

if i didnt work so freaking much i would have gone to the last tib meet in columbus and after watching solo's s3 video i'm really disapointed that i didnt get to go, that looked pretty sweet.

but there seems to be alot of interest for meets, as long as we can get a date that we can all commit too.

BTW: anyone in ohio want to sell their 16's with tires? I desperatly need some winter rubber this year. last year my car handled like a sewer plate on a frozen lake. and that was on a stock suspension.

Re: ohio tibs

most people go for the CAI, then exhaust, then headers... well at least thats what i did. then they start working on the intake manifold and the likes.

I have the borla and I love it. its a little on the quiet side, but that is what i was looking for in an exhaust. plus every person that has heard it has loved the sound (no rice, no rasp) except a couple people said its too quiet. headers would have fixed that problem.

personally, if i was starting fresh on a new car, i would build the suspension first. its cheaper and gives huge results. when you start shooting for horsepower the $$$ starts to increase expodentially. you can probably complete the entire suspension (no brakes or rims) for about $2000. thats coilovers, strut braces, and sway bar. but if you started NA tuning, 2000 would get you the a stage 4 Intake Manifold and CAMs....thats it.

but thats not how i am doing me car now. i've kind of hit every type of mod and am trying to make it a well rounded car. but mine is also a daily driver so i have to consider drivability.

not sure how long you wanna wait for an exhaust, but if you go to the next Ohio meet, you'll be able to hear lots of different exhausts.
