Well, assuming you have the v6, you have to remove the upper IM to reach the rear three plugs. and in order to do that you have to remove the TB and unplug the intake(not completely remove). I'm planning on getting Next Gen's stage 3 IM, with the heatshield gasket and plenum spacer. When I get those I'll do it all at once, that way I don't have to take it off as much as possible. But I've heard that the gains from the wires are like 7-9hp, and with good ground wires more like 10hp.

Re: MN Tibs

I just replaced my plugs and wires last week with MAGNECOR wires and NGK iridium IX. Definetly a performance boost is there along with a smoother engine. The stock plugs I pulled out had carbon buildup pretty bad with only 15,000 miles. I guess that proves just how rich our cars run. Taking the intake manifold off the v6 sucked though.

Hey MN Tib owners! I haven't checked out this thread for a few months and was surprised to see this many posts. I am up in Friendly Fridley so If there is a meet I would be able to show up. How about Red Rock? I have never been there but I heard there is usually a good crowd.

Well I was up in Maple Grove last night (Thursday night) and passed a black Tib on Main St. around 6:30-7pm. I didnt get the best look, but I think it was the 4 cyl. and looked mostly stock if not all stock yet. Post up if that was you.

Don't know who that was but there is a nice black tiby with chrome 5spoke 18's a block and a half away from me. Is it anyone here? I think it is the corner of 48th and Fremont. There is also an older Toyota MR2 in the garage.

Yeah, my kit shipped out today so it should arrive in about 3-5 days? Add another 3 days or so for painting and installing..... so I guess anytime after next week is good for me. What works for you guys?

Re: MN Tibs

Anyone know a good track to go to around here? The only one I'm familiar with is Rock Falls, a little too far for me... also anyone know any good dyno testing places? Preferably in the sw metro?

Re: MN Tibs

Whats up guys. I swear I posted on this part of the board a few weeks ago when I first got my car, but I just checked it out again, and I don't see anything. Well, I guess I'll have to ease up on the crack pipe lol. But, I just got my tib about a month ago now. I would love to have a meet up for pics or barbque, or whatever. I just got a new 03 red gt 5spd sprint package. The only mods I've done are the sub wire, take out the amber corners, CAI, and put an uluminum dead pedal cover in. I'd love to check out some of your cars. I really wanna see that kit on your car Black Spectre. I'd love to go to a track sometime too. We need to stop talking about it and actually meet up. My comflicts as of now are the 29th of may, besides that I think I'm open. I play softball every Sunday evening, so I say we all get off our ***** and meet some saturday.

How about Saturday, May 9th? Somewhere in the metro area, maybe lake necomis, or somewhere around there? I live in Apple Valley myself. I best see you all post that you're down, and if not, give a different date. Peace out boys,

Tommy

PS - You know you're coming, so wash up your car and grab some barbque-ables and come on over.

Re: MN Tibs

Yeah, I'm not so sure my car will be ready by then. There's been a slight delay in shipping.... The 14th sounds a little more promising for me.

LOL, you're right it is mothers day. I'd be down for a meet on Sat the 15th, we could go fishing. Not sure if any of you guys are fisherman, but we could barbque, fish, and chill. It'd be nice if we could take pics with a lake in the background. Then we can all cruise to that place with the grafitti wall. Everyone say what day is good for them and we'll go with the majority here. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

PS - Any of you live near New Brighton, I've seen a black tib a few times around CR D and Silver Lake road. Not sure if ti's any of you fools or not.

Re: MN Tibs

It'd be sweet if we could get a few Tibs up there. Ya'll might show me up with better looking Tibs, but it'll be fun if ya make it. This is the first meet I will be going to, but my buddy Matt was to one last fall and said it was a good time and there were 20-30 cars there and several more people.
