Old 2003 Tiburon Starter Location 09-30-2009 , 07:54 PM

Today i went to turn on my car and all i heard was clicking sounds, my ol man is telling me its the starter. Anyone know where its located?

if its a v6 its at the bottom of the engine kinda behind the bottom of the exhaust manifold in the front of the engine

and if its clicking continuously in my experience its more often the battery

Mine was doin it for a while but I just wiggled my maf sensor n it started right up dnt know if that helps or not but its what iv got

No luck, wiggled the MAF sensor (which should be my the air intake correct)?

Check the voltage of your battery, if you ahve a voltage tester, if the battery is below ~10volts then thats ur problem, if it reads above that then check the ground of the starter if might have rusted out or is loose

those can all work and the battery will just not be powerful enough to turn the starter, just because all of the other electronics work dont assume that the battery isnt dead/past the point of being able to start

doesnt matter those will still work and the battery wont have enough power to turn the car over it takes alot more power to turn the car over than it does to run every other thing in the car combined it prolly still has a little juice left thats why your getting clicking instead of nothing at all. I bet its the battery take it to advacne, autozone pepboys any of those places will load test it thats the right way to determine if the battery is bad. From what you have described I'd put money ont the battery being bad
