Tiburon problem Help!?

Ok so my tibby has been sitting in storage for winter and the weather has started to get warm finally so I decided to go out and do the slave cylinder mod, so I finished the mod and im super excited to get in fire it up and see how its gonna work, the roads were all nice and clear. I hope in the car turn the key and all it does is wurl, weird?? I started it 2 weeks ago no problem, so I tryed boosting it all it did was make the wurl sound faster, put new gas still nothing, Now the other week it started it was a warmer day it was plus 6 with sunshine and today was plus 4 with clouds so it was little colder, only other thing I can think of is it does have a cold air intake on it from when I bought it maybe the guy that installed it didnt configure it with the computer so making it not start? I dunno I just wanna get the thing started and take it for drive. HelpSee the last page, its where I need the help!!!

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

check the fuel pump. When you turn your key to ON you should hear the pump prime for a few seconds. Have someone turn the key while you listen with the gas cap off and your hear close to the hole.

The motor could be working but not pumping fuel. Maybe check the fuel pressure.

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

I just took hairdryer and put it up the cold air intake to see if thats what was the problem and still nothing, so Dont think its the cold air causing it. And it has fuel pressure.

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

When was the last time you started it? Check spark, fuel. Maybe the CPS went bad, that prevents it from starting..

I'm still leaning towards a fuel delivery problem. You might try a dab of starting fluid in the intake (at your own discretion) and if it fires off the fumes then you know your not getting fuel to the motor.

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

Ok so this is an update Iv been busy but I finally sent my tiburon to a shop to figure out why the car wont start. The guy said its most likely the crank sensor so I ordered one and we put it on and tryed it and still NOTHING!! car still wont start. Now were gonna try cam sensor and coil pack, does anyone have any other ideas of what it could be the car worked fine! till I put it in storage for winter, its spring nice weather I want my Tibby! Help! anyone have any idea what it could be. Its not crank sensor, its not battery its fine, filled the car with gas so its not low in gas. Its not getting any spark it just keeps turning over wont fire up.

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

Before you go out and buy the coilpacks, try checking them to make sure that they are working. Here's a link that shows you what to do (although the engine they are using is a B18B1 from an Integra LS, the concept is the same. I did this with the coilpacks on my RB20DET).

http://autorepair.about.com/od/troub...est-manual.htm

You also might want to check out the fuses and make sure that no condensation has built up in the fuse box. I would also check the main relay.

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

from you describing this "wurl" sound I'd say the starter isn't engaging ... if it were, I wouldn't call the engine turning over a "wurling" sound.

I can has RHD Sig?

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

(check all sensor connection under hood tps, maf, etc)
this is my little way of checking my sh*t
is it turning over (starter) if not starter problem
if so are all connections to spark plugs good and tight and to coils if not fix problem
if so remove plug #1 put it against manifold and hit ignition does it fire if not its fire problem have checked anf fix
if so check that it has a good full tank o gas/ if not fix
if so put as mall ammount of ether in vac line from cai. if still not working u can take it to mechanic! lol
just basic trouble shooting
plz add to if needed >>

Re: Tiburon wont start ??

if that starter its turning the motor over , it could be selenoid nuetral switch or just the starter...
and if so dont have a starter rebuilt get a new one aftermarket with lifetime guarnatee trust me im the king of bad luck!

All those steps before you check for a full tank of gas? I still say fuel problem here is why, when sitting for long times in cold weather gas will gum up.This can cause the fuel pump to not spin freely. The motor can actually strip itself and sound likes it pumping fuel. Check the fuel pressure.
