*full* braided clutch line

anyone ever install one?
not the little short one from the hardline to the clutch slave cylinder.
but a complete line from clutch MC to SC.

would make it cleaner, easier motor pullouts, etc.
if so whats the clutch MC AN size? and the banjo SC size?

i belive one can buy universal lines granted same size on both ends.
does away with this. makes it a 1 piece line..not 2 peices...

What could be cleaner than a hard line ? A loose ss line will not look cleaner.ive never pulled a engine but how would this make it easier?

google ticked and shaved bays... u wont see a stock clutch line. when u do motor swaps less mess and QDs make stuff easy

I've heard the "rubber" lines can expand under pressure especially when worn, also a stainless line would last much longer and Rabies' idea would even get rid of a joint/potential weak spot

I can see you wanting to remove the connector from the hard line to the master cylinder, but you are very wrong thinking that this would be a viable solution. What you are actually doing is weakening the clutch line by decreasing the pressure and allowing more line to expand. Hard line does not expand, braided line, while expanding very little, still expands. If you increase the length of the braided line you have more line to expand. And the connection where the hard line meets the hose to the slave cylinder is not a potential weak spot.

Correct, even a new rubber hose expands with pressure, old hoses expand more. All rubber lines should be replaced once in a while, it's a time as well as mileage thing.

As to removing a "weak spot" due to the connection, I wouldn't worry about it. Properly connected, they last the lifetime of the vehicle with no issues.

I agree with most of Shark2005's comments. Not sure you could really tell the difference between a SS line/hardline mix vs. a full SS line.

Wifes car: 2004 Tib GT, 2.7L, 5MT, 148K miles, medium blue, basically stock.
My car: 1998 Legacy GT wagon, 2.5L, 5MT, 176K miles, "Quicksilver", not stock and not slow...
