Car won't go into 5th gear
The other day I was driving out of state and my car stopped working on me by not allowing me to put it into gear. After having it towed to some local hyundai dealer they told me that the clip that holds the shifter linkage cable to the shifter was broke and caused it from being able to go into gear. They told me that you can't just buy that clip and that I would have to buy both cables because they come as a set which would take them 5 days to get as well but if I needed a temporary fix they could make a clip just so I could get back home. So I did just that. I went out to my car, after being charged 100 dollars for a ziptie, only to find out that now my car won't go into 5th gear, 6th is very hard to get it in, and the same can be said for reverse. I went back in to the place to let them know and they told me until I can get that cable with the clip that it probably won't work right and that my flywheel is about to go as well. When I got home I took apart the shifter area and held down the cable on the shifter so I could move through the gears but still couldn't get it into 5th. I guess my question is do you think that little clip(or cable) is the answer to my problem or does it sound like a clutch/flywheel problem? The car also tends to shake alot in reverse, down shifting, shifting in lower gears, and a constant vibration on the clutch pedal and steering wheel.
