Re: The Ultimate Supercharger Thread

I am definitely considering S/C system for my 2003 Tuscani Tiburon Elisa 6 speed. I understand the clutch, engine mounts, etc. are not required, but are smart to upgrade to help ensure dependable driving. If the clutch is generally kind of weak (I am not sure if mine is stock, I just got my Tib - my 2nd Tib), then it would make sense to upgrade the clutch by default before really considering a bolt on kit. I currently run a custom single exhaust system and a cold air intake on my Elisa, I just wish I knew more about the modding that was done before I got it.

That being said, NGM, although expensive, is definitely a good choice. You really do have to pay well to play hard with these cars, but form factor alone justifies me being so obsessed with them. They are good looking smooth shifting cars, that's why I can't wait to dig into this vehicle when I have the extra funds.

Please do some searching on here first... TC (Who was NGM) now works for Fiebruz.... So they are NGM per-say... A few people have gotten their parts that they have ordered from the new company, but with the background of NGM I would be skeptical to send them $4000 of my hard earned money...

Re: The Ultimate Supercharger Thread

You pretty much will have to find a used one in the FS threads on here... or post in the WTB since a lot of people have them and just don't post them up for sale it seems... No one really still makes a SC for it other than Fiebruz and they are very hit or miss...

I am curious.

How long do the Tiburons last after supercharging?

Are used parts reliable?

Thanks

Depends on how hard you beat your Tibby what internals you hv put into or have not put into your car, and how much pressure you are pushing from the supercharger, if you want your tibby to last build her up first to handle a harder beating then make her scream..

Thanks.

By build her up, I assume you mean things like the clutch... my Tib is a daily driver, so it will take a lot of mileage in what motor oil vendors would call "extreme driving conditions." What else should I address? go to a synthetic oil? maybe engine vibration? impact to the exhaust flex pipes from stop and go driving? ... what about the harmonic balancer? Will that get torn up? What else should I be building up? Are there good threads out there I have missed somehow that address this?

That is not a bad price for a Stage 1, I recently picked up a Stage 1 Alpine myself. One thing though, I thought you only had to run 89 Octane on the Stage 1? Maybe someone can verify.

I tried 89 an it pulled timing and gave me a check engine light. But the other reason i getting rid of it is i cant resist the blower whine so my economy also sucks because of it.

Re: The Ultimate Supercharger Thread

Fiebruz uses NGM on the side to make the kits...IDK if anyone has actually bought and received a full kit from them since they took over retailing the kits.

This kind of statement always makes me nervous:

"This item can take up to 16 weeks for us to have it ready to ship.

Note: due to the difficult build process and uniqueness of this item, there’s no refund available."

Elsewhere it also says powder coating can add 2-3 weeks on top of the regular time frame. You prepared to wait upwards of 5 months for your order to ship and oh yeah no refunds!!

Huffin E85 and lovin every minute of it!!
