Just recharged AC with a disposable kit recommended at advanced auto. Everything seemed fine. A few hours later the car jerks while driving and AC does not want to work.
Is the jerking rapid?
I'm thinking that you didn't put enough in or you have a leak.
I know that if it doesn't have enough in it, then the compressor won't kick on, but it will once you get to a certain level of juice in it.
The only thing I can think of is that you're on that border line because of one of the two mentioned causes and that it's just kicking on and off on you.
False alarm guys. Apparently I didn't let the car run long enough when I was charging the AC earlier yesterday. My wife was driving her car to work and was freaking out so I thought I would post on here and see what you guys think.
Car is not jerking any more. AC is blistering cold. And compressor stays on when AC is turned on. Thanks for the immediate feedback.
I just had never charged an AC and did not know the possible side effects/issues that I could run into.
Just drove it. Seems to run perfectly, more hp, AC is colder than I remember it to ever have been, and other awesome stuff.
super weird. anywho - maybe this issue can help someone else out in the future.
thanks again,
tim
