Re: resetting Trip A and Trip B

You have 2 trip meters, A and B. Simple as that. You can measure 2 seperate distances. To reset, just switch to A or B by pressing the button once, and hold the button for a few seconds to reset

2009 Volkswagen GTI 6-speed. Completely stock. Yeah....that's about it.

Re: resetting Trip A and Trip B

hang on, I thought trip B was more of a split. For example, I divide my journey into 2 legs. first trip is measured by A, then switch over to trip B ( so counter is at zero). When I'm done with the trip, Trip A adds Trip B to get the total...

Re: resetting Trip A and Trip B

No, they both count at the same time. If you reset trip A, switch over to trip B, and drive 100 miles, and flip back over to A, it will be at 100 miles

Re: resetting Trip A and Trip B

It is pretty simple, but at the same time we've all had questions like this at some point. There's definitely things I've had answered and looked back thinking...duh!

I use my trip switch a lot actually, always have. I am in the habit of resetting it every time I fill up with gas. I don't really watch it too much but for some reason I still do it. Usually when I travel I'm going to the same places and I know how far away it is, so I reset it before leaving and know how long til I get there.

Re: resetting Trip A and Trip B

Yea, I suck. i get like 18mpg no matter how conservatively I drive up here, I don't get it. I get 24-25 mpg driving the balls off my car when I'm home, but I cruise around school slow as hell, and i get awful gas mileage.

lol, this is what I do, as well. If I was worried about gas consumption, I wouldn't have bought a V6.

Too bad about the 1000 km limit. I found this out during a long drive this summer.

Get busy living or get busy dying.
