I would like to remove the silver vent rings on my dashboard to have them painted. They seem like they would be easy to remove, but because of all the plastic I dont want to gamble with damaging them. Anyone have an easy solution to removing them?

i just repainted my vents and gas cover....it really makes my car stand out and it was the easiest fix to cover the fading. now i just need some advice on what to do to my headlights, should i try to fix the weathering or just by new ones? what would be cheaper??
