Hi there...

I've searched around a bit and cant seem to find the answer (or at least verify the answer to be pertaining to that OEM part number):

My 2006 Tiburon has the 'base' kenwood system installed (cd/wmv player):

OEM part is 00271-06000

Before i go nuts trying to take this out, does anyone know if it has an AUX jack or CDC connector in the back? Thanks much :)

On mine (2006 I4) there are 3 unused connectors:
- an RCA labelled SUB
- two color coded RCAs labelled FRONT
- one CD Changer DIN-like thingy

I believe that you need to buy the CD-Changer to Aux cable to get Aux In..

Correct. Both the "sub" and "front" connectors are outputs. The only input is the DIN connector that controls cd changers. There is a cable that has that DIN connector on one end and female RCA plugs on the other. That's the one you need. When you plug it in you can select CD changer on the head unit (aux in) and use your MP3 player. Crutchfield has it:

Not sure if you can find it cheaper elsewhere.
