Hey folks,

I'm wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what's going on with me:

03 Tib, 5 speed, w/ 170,000 k. Started it up this week after 3 weeks of vacation and found the alternator was done - I put in a new one yesterday; started it up and it sounded good. Went to drive it today and tried to put the car into gear and no luck. I turned it off and put it into first and then restarted and it moved forward when I got on the gas, but then changing it to another gear, it wouldn't let me. In my drive way we pushed in the clutch and left it in first and the car would not move at all. Which led us to believe that the clutch was not disengaging - although we could be wrong.

Any suggestions? I'm pissed that I worked hard on figuring out the alternator and belt and now another problem!

Thanks.

sounds like the master cylinder went out
+1 sorta i would check for leaks it could very well be the master cylinder though it may be something else. check your fluid level then if its ok i would bleed the master cylinder. if your still having the problem or cant get air out of the system you most likely have a bad master cylinder.
