D2 Coilover Queston

2 days ago, I fitted some D2 Coilovers on my car and dropped it about .75in all around. When I was driving home ( in a terrible snow storm ), I realized that I needed to have my steering wheel slightly turned to the right to go in a straight line. I know I need an alignment, but I want to make sure none of the problem is on my end in terms of my installation.
On D2's (possibly some other ones. idk), the tab that the endlink connects to can be adjusted up and down the body of the coilover. When we were doing the installation, we simply put them in a position that we could hook the link up to it, NOT making sure they were at corresponding heights on the body. I haven't had a chance to take off the wheels to check them out (lots, lots, lots of snow), but would a difference in the endlink tabs' heights on each corner cause my steering to be off?

Any D2 owners have any insight as to what it could be? I don't want to pay for an alignment just for the problem to be my own fault.
Thanks in advance, everyone.

Any time you touch the suspension and adjust it, you need to get an alignment. Check the endlink tabs but go get an alignment because you can't diagnose anything if your suspension isn't properly aligned.

Before I get the alignment, should I make sure the tabs are at almost (if not exactly) equal heights? Or should that not matter?

I plan on getting the alignment on friday, after I'm finished with my midterms. Too busy until then.
Thanks!

as stated above you need to get an alignment ...but before you take it in measure and get the endlink mounts as close as possible to each side ....you changed the geometry of your suspension...you may be surprised if the give you a printout of the before and after of how much out of alignment you really are.

Thanks! I'll do exactly that.

In other news, can't wait for spring. I wanna be looooowwwwwwwwwwwww.
Mine was the same way when I put my coilovers on, just make sure everything is torqued properly before going to get an alignment, but do it ASAP. That awkward steering is due to your toe being way off. It'll eat through tires like nothing.
