hey guys, I searched and couldn't find anything on the topic of the extreme bass CD's you see someplaces... I had a friend try to put one in, but I didn't let him...

I heard that if you played the CD on a normal system you could damage it...

:3_confuse any help :3_confuse :3_pimatyo

Damaging a system with bass cds is very easy =)

depending on how loud you play it or how low (or high sometimes) the tones are you can kill speakers. Certain subs (generally the more sh***y variety) arent meant to handle huge amounts of power or really low tones. It'd be like if you hooked up an amp to the tibby stock sub. It would overpower and kill it. OR if you play a bass test cd with some 20hz tones through the stock sub and turned it up loud the sub would just beat back and forth (while not making any noise) until it over-exerted and died. Getting decent (good) speakers and not being a retard will help keep your speakers alive.
Oh and this holds true for all speakers (tweeters, mids, subs)
