to support boosted applications. you don't need it if not, but the stock fuel pump gets a little overtaxed at the mid-upper 200 whp area. It will flow more than the stocker, and support basically 400 whp I think.
right, there is really no need... unless you were running f/i, including a larger shot of nitrous, in which case if it is too big you would probably want a built motor to go along with that too! ha ha.
