Hi
I have a
2005 Hyundai Tiburon
Model TIBU04A
V6 2.7LT
ENGINE NUMBER G6BA1331948

it has a strange fuel issue that my mechanic is struggling with

the symptoms are as follows:
  • the engine is running rich (to the point where it almost stalls)
  • it will clear in free rev but not under load until revs pick up
  • air flow meter is a little under voltage (.6 should be .8) at idle but seems ok at higher revs
  • Newish spark plugs (4 month old) are all dark on all cylinders
computer does not throw up anything obvious

any suggestions as to what the cause might be - the car is pretty much un-driveable

I would start with making sure there are no vacuum leaks anywhere.
then replacing the MAF with a new OEM one.

it was the MAF afterall - there was no error - just a very slight drop in voltage
