Why does my Tiburon 2006 GT when I have my foot off the gas it wants to idle so fast like the brakes are sticking to the tires kind of feeling. I think it only happens when I have the car in gear but also I think when it’s in neutral it happens too. I changed the mass airflow sensor, I’ve had a P170 code, I changed the TBS and I made sure there is no hole in the intake hose but having a hard time locating a leg if that’s the case.Does anyone know how to get a smoke machine? Thank you so much, I’ve had this beauty since October and it’s the best thing in my life besides my son. It just has a little over 100,000 miles but I bought it when I have 91,000. I bought new spark plugs yesterday maybe I could change those now lol. Thanks guys

I'm having a little trouble with your explanation there, and not sure what you mean by TBS. If you changed the throttle position sensor (TPS) or idle air control (IAC) you want to make sure those are OEM sensors and not just something from a parts store.

I'd try to get it nailed down before you go changing the spark plugs which involves removing the throttle body and intake manifold and possibly creating new problems before you solve this one.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. I would assume you mean the engine has a high idle when you say it "idles fast", but that would make the car feel like it doesn't want to stop, not want to stop more. I'm guessing you mean the car wants to return to an idle (in other words, stop) when you're not on the gas.

If it's doing this in neutral, then you can rule out the engine completely. Could be a sticking caliper, collapsed brake hoses, bad suspension component, etc. I wouldn't recommend throwing parts at it & hoping one of them fixes the problem.
