------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I hit a deer at 65mph on the front left and my Tib is totaled.

First picture is from February 18th when I first bought the car.
The next is February 27.

Had this car for a month and 6 days and was only able to drive it for about 2 weeks because of a lein on the title.

Damn deer.

I sure hope so Kyle. I'm already brainstorming!

Thanks Maze, I won't hear anything till tomorrow so my fingers are crossed.

This is the damage.
Bags deployed, headlight obliterated, battery shattered, antifreeze and radiator emptied, and plenty of body wrinkles!

The deer was kind enough to leave me some fur as a condolence..

I'll be back with pictures of the next Tib ASAP!

Doomsday, I tried buffing it out. Didn't work real well

But I'm back everyone!
I couldn't find my tablet for a while (phone camera doesn't work)

Insurance gave me $500 more than I paid for the car and $600 more than I paid for my new one!

2005 Tiburon GT 5-speed
Midnight Blue

WHEN I BOUGHT IT
---------------------------

Good-
Inset Type R's all the way around & Alpine X-power 500w & Capacitor
Only 100k miles
Stage 3 flywheel & clutch
Fuel Chip and Tornado (Owner swore by it)
WHOLE CAR DYNAMATTED
Alpine IVA D310 Mobile Multimedia Station (sold)
75% tread on tires
Racing pedals

Bad-
Small rust spots on hood, bottom of trunk, and driver door
Paint is a little rough
Fuel Chip and Tornado (Owner swore by it)
Throwout bearing
Passenger lock actuator & window motor
Driver door locks by itself when key isn't in ignition
Chip missing from back driver tail light
Automatic antenna but motor makes noise and antenna is always up
Tacky cheap LED shift knob
Tacky yellowish-silver dash kit (currently removing)

---------------------------

What I've done-
2 12" Rockford Fosgate Puncher P1's in prefab box
1800w Kenwood
Kenwood DDX418 Headunit
RF decal on back windshield
Tint
Removed "chip" and Tornado
Plastidip rims
Plastidip blacked out emblems
Back-up camera

Planning to do-
TREAT RUST
Throwout bearing
Passenger lock actuator and window motor
CCFL white angel eyes
Plastidip custom aggressive eyelids
LED Gauge cluster
5000k HID
LED fogs & always-on fog mod
CF vinyl wrap hood
Tinted tails
Back Tuscani emblem, removing stock emblems
Shift knob
Black out interior
Black exterior accents (Gills, spoiler, & fuel door)
Black out A-bar (to blend door windows and windshield together)
Shorty antenna

I feel like I've had more ideas but they're not coming to mind

Thank you!

They don't have a whole lot of slack so pushing them into the trim and such is kinda out of the question.
I meant to ask in my post about a good way to hid the wires.

I was thinking a piece of black or midnight blue felt,
cut slits big enough for the amps and just have the felt over top the wires
and the rest of the trunk

That sucks man. Im currently restoring a Tiburon the rear-ended a Tundra!
Good luck man! From what I've read on the forum, rockauto.com is a good place to get parts.
And its awesome to have another Newbie on my thread. LOL
I hope your restoration turns out as good as my insurance did

Sorry, I'm new to the forum and not sure how you guys set your stuff up.
And no, that is not a mod list. That is a list of what the car had when I bought it. They've both been removed.

EDIT: I fixed it just for you Regina.
Good.. Good.. lol. At least it was the last owner wasting money!

Btw, can you tell me how to add the original poster's name to the quote?
I'll get the forum mastered eventually.

2nd btw, I'm gonna have to make one of them sammiches tomorrow.
Hmmm.. It should do it automatically when you hit the reply button on the bottom right part of their post. What are you using to quote people?

To quote multiple people, click the "Quote" button and it should turn red telling you the post is tagged. On the last post you want to quote, instead of hitting the "Quote" button, hit "Reply and a new screen should pop up with all the quotes in the reply box for you.

Now I feel retarded.
I was copy&paste'ing the text into the quick reply at the bottom of the page, then clicking the "quote" button.
...Thanks!

EDIT: God dammit. I'll get this figured out.
