Any opinions on the next gen ice box. we are looking to replace the stock alpine cooler. this is for a 2.7L. the cap. looks great and we like the electric fan setup. just wondering if it is worth the money.

It is deffinitely woth the while for the alpine. You are also going to get a bigger core to put inside the alpine unit. With that the antifreeze will enter on one side of the blower and exit on the other, instead of making a U turn like alpine made it. So all around it is more efficient.

I dont think youd want to use Dry ice..... unless you kept the system was vented..

dry ice in a sealed enviroment is not good.....Fun sometimes, but not good.

dry ice isn't H20, dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide, and your engine would be sucking in carbon dioxide gas! which is at around -109 degrees and might freeze the water!, comprende!

definetly worth it....on the original prototype we tested we saw a 20 whp gain on jsut water and then anoter 20 whp with the fresh ice in it.......with out tuning for it.....and running way rich and on 5 cylinders.....

that was on a alpine with NGM upgrades to around 13psi.....

so yea i would say it is worth it.....
