Is it possible to wax your car too often? Most of the car care guides I've read said you should wax your car at least 2-3 times a year, but none of them have ever stated if there is a point where waxing starts doing more harm than good. In the past, I've usually waxed my car about once every two-three months. However, I just bought an orbital buffer yesterday, so I was considering doing it more often. Are there any dangers of waxing your car rather frequently, or is there just a minimum amount of times you should do it in a year?

I dont believe that you can overwax your car. Now if you wax it too often then the paint can actualy start to look a little dull. I believe this is from puting two coats of wax on at the same time. But i do not believe that you could wax your paint to death. Now you could use too much rubbing compound!
