This is a DIY for fixing the popping noise that comes from progress springs when turning from lock to lock. Feel free to post any questions or pm makogk.
Tools needed:
Spring compressor (rent from autozone)
wrenchs and socket wrenchs
First place the car on jack stands and remove the wheel.
Next unbolt the bottom bolt from the control arm shown with arrow and remove the line shown by the second arrow.
Next unbolt the top ot the shock tower from inside of the engine bay
Now put the spring compressors on the spring and tighten it until the spring is far enough away from the top hat that it can move. Once this is done spin the top of the spring mount (top hat) 180 degrees.
Picture 1 is the improper alignment
How it should look once the top hat is spun around.
Now look down from the top and make sure that the bolts at the top of the shock tower still line up properly. Uncompress the springs and remount the control arm, brake line, and replace the top bolts on the shock tower inside the engine bay.
