So I have a 2004 Tiburon w/ the Infinity system. I'd like to replace it and I have all the speakers and stuff I want. Here are the links to the speakers & head unit.

Door Speakers (6.5 in)

Rear Speakers

I'm gonna keep the stock amp & sub in the car.

Now, my question is, do I need to buy a speaker harness for the front component speakers? And if so, would I need one for the woofer AND the tweeter? I know that I need one for the rear 6x9 2-way speakers but I', just not sure if I need them for the component speakers.

I called Crutchfield and the guy told me I didn't need to because the factory speaker wire will be plugged into the crossovers that come with the speakers. But I also read somewhere else that I didn't need to install the crossovers because the stock system already had crossovers.

Here's the link for the speaker harness' that fit Tiburons.

Hope you can help.

BTW I'm only 16 and I'm a total n00b when it comes to this stuff lol

no you shouldnt need another wiring harness
all of the stock speakers in your car should have two wire hooked up to them a positive and a negative. your front speakers come with a cross over and all you have to do is connect the positive and negative to the red and black wire

then hookup the woofer and tweeter to the other side each wire is labled woofer and tweeter

and if there is a stock crossover all you have to do then is splice the stock wires from your stock speakers to your new front speakers

lol!
well i just finished putting all my new stuff in yesterday. I replaced the headunit with the Pioneer Premier DEH-500UB (its freakin awesome, i would deff recommend it to anybody), the front speakers with a pair of Pioneer Premier TS-A532P 3 way speakers (they sound okay, not too impressed honestly but theyre decent, and i kept the stock tweeters in b/c it sounded better with them) and i replaced the rear speakers with the Orion Cobalt 6x9's (no complaints, there pretty good, cant really hear them much anyway b/c theyre in the back)
overall im satisfied with the upgrade.

i have to say that replacing the headunit deff made the biggest difference.

next step: replace stock sub with a 10" sub and get another amp for that. but i'll do that around Christmas time :3_puh2:
