Will something like this get the job done?

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=43424

I got a set of car care supplies for x-mas, and I'm new to waxing and polishing. But, I got a nice combo shampoo (light wax), polish, and top coat sealant, and I really want to try and make my baby look like a million bucks... on a budget. haha.

http://www.meguiarsonline.com/ is a great starting point, it's where I get alot of my information, I'm still new to Rotary polishers but I have a 30 dollar on bought from harbor feight, my computer is being slow and wont load the link but the one I got is made by chicago but do research before you take a buffer to your car.

I suppose it might. However, I worry when I see cheapies like that because you usually get what you pay for. I realize that the product of choice for the vast majority of car enthusiasts (the Porter Cable ROBs, models 7336 and 7424) tend to sit in the $120 price range completely new, which can seem a bit pricey compared to a $15 ROB. And I’m sure that the one you’re looking at could work just fine (and I hope it does), but I wouldn’t trust it. I don’t have any rational reason for not trusting it, but I don’t. Hopefully you’re not afflicted by my irrational fear of taking budget products to my car’s already dangerously thin clear coat. If you do go that way let us know how it comes out, but I’ll be sticking with my PC 7336 thank you very much…
