Sinse we've had so many threads pop up lately with dumb racing acts maybe we should make some suggestions/rules on how to post and not get flamed...
1. Don't ever bring ethnics into it. Example: "The car had ____ and _____, must have been a ____ person driving"
2. Don't race in traffic. Its dumb. If you and the other car want to race somewhere quiet that is fine. Just know you're putting both your cars and lives in each other's hands if something goes wrong. Its not right to put other innocent people in danger who are just driving down the road.
3. Don't race when it's raining/snowing/ice/foggy. If i need to explain then good luck staying alive.
4. Don't blow through red lights while racing. You never know who is coming the other way and a T-bone accident at high speeds proves deadly for both parties.
5. Don't be a sore loser. If you win, cool, keep driving, don't cut them off, "brake check", or throw the finger up after. Remember every time you do something stupid and childish you make all people driving Tibs, and people who drive modified cars period, look like that.
6. When you post in this section use some common grammar so we can understand what you're saying and remember most of us drive Tibs, so we know shifting at 7500 RPMs can't happen on a stock ECU or going 160 mph so don't try and make some crazy story up...
7. This is a forum with lots of people and lots of knowledge, don't get upset if someone doesn't believe you when you supposedly beat a car that is 1.5 seconds faster in the 1/4 mile and you're stock.
8. If you lose a race (which not many people will fess up to), you shouldn't do ricer flybys, give the finger, or rev up on them, or especially try racing again and again....UNLESS....you had a legitimate problem ie: clutch failure, death in the family, car blow up, etc. Go out with class, admit your defeat, and just be cool about it. That last little bit about racing again and again is null and void unless you are racing friends and you guys are just doing it for fun because you just want to race your buddies.
