2004 Tiburon GT V6 Auto ... a week ago it decided to start stalling. It will idle ok, but the second to touch the gas pedal it will stall. So I replaced the spark plugs (no change), then replaced the MAF (no change), then replaced the fuel pump (no change), and finally I replaced the IAT Sensor (still no change. I have absolutely no idea what is wrong with the car and hoping someone can help. I have checked for leaks and all hoses/lines seem to be ok.

Went I try to determine major issues with sensor ie I had an issue with the TPS where the power would keep cutting in and out. So what I usually is just unplug the suspect sensors, the ECU will not go into limp home mode straight off but you get enough time to test the car to see if the issue has gone away, then plug the sensor back in, if it the issue comes back again then thats your problem. I have always worked like this with my cars, this is especially good when there are no faults codes stored.

Hope this helps

Yeah same here. I took my entire throttle body apart last night when i got home. I was able to make the situation worse and as odd as it might be I think it is the IAC valve. So i am awaiting the new one to arrive to test.

I am having a lean condition that feels like a huge hesitation, and had the car scanned by a mechanic buddy and the left bank up stream o2 was malfunctioning but did not throw a code. Bought a new o2 have to pick it up tonight. The o2's can go bad without throwing a code.

Had the same thing going on with my 2007 GT V6, Make sure you check your spark plug wires, mine was wired wrong, two wires were switched. Make sure you use the right chart, there are many online and not all for the 2.7 for the Tiburon, that engine was used in other vehicles and the wiring a little different.
I replaced the Crank Shaft Sensor, ICV Idle Control Valve and the Throttle Position Sensor, all three very easy to replace and cheap to buy. Clean the Mass Flow Sensor and Throttle air valve. I then did a 10 min battery disconnect of the negative cable. I did all of this at the same time and the difference was night and day. Car is running smooth and it doesnt stall at traffic lights

I am not a mechanic, but have you tried resetting your ecm? I purchased an 03 base model that was running poorly, and with no error codes. I went to YouTube and found savagescotty. I reset my ecm and I swear that it runs like brand new now. Anybody can do this in under 20 minutes and with no out of pocket cost. I hope I understood your post and wish you the best of luck.

Is that any different from disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 min? So I did some more digging and I will have to check this out, if the timing belt was put on out of top dead center, many a few teeth off the care will run fine but throw the Crank Position Sensor (CPS) code P030 and Check engine light. So that is my next step before I drive it off a cliff! LOL

You have to disconnect both battery cables and connect one side of a jumper cable to both battery cables for 10 to 15 minutes to dissipate the rest of the power in the system. After that, take the jumper cable off the battery cables and reconnect to the battery. Then you can drive it for a day or two but it will be a little rough until it totally resets to the way YOU drive your car. I did not want to wait a day or two for results so I started my car, turned on the AC full blast, put it in neutral and kept the rpms at 2000 for 5 minutes. Then turn off your AC, turn off your and let it sit for a minute or two. Start your car back up, put it in neutral and again rev the car back to 2000 rpms for 5 minutes. Turn off the car, restart it and go for a drive for 5 to 10 miles. This should make the car run like new. This trick literally blew my mind. I do not know if this will work on every car, but it worked on my 03 Tib base model. I thought I bought a lemon, but I now ride around in a great car. If you do this, please let me know how it turned out. Cheers!!!!!
