Hello,
I have a 2004 2.0 with ~190k miles. I decided to replace most of my fuel delivery system mostly due to age/miles and some minor symptoms (hesitation, responsiveness). However, the fuel pump market for our cars (at least mine) is pretty bad. It seems like I can either buy cheap no name garbage, or way overpriced OEM. So I decided to just buy an AEM 340LPH. I think it’s pretty much plug and play.

I’m worried that the much higher pressure it’s capable of would be too strong for the stock regulator to handle (which I’m also replacing). I think its max output is 90psi and the stock pressure is around 40. Does anyone know about this? Or about what our stock regulator can handle? I don’t want to run rich. Am I an idiot for buying that pump? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
