Properly bolted connection allows for tweaks in the chassis. Done correctly, dang near as strong as solid welded.
Many platforms, welded with tweaked chassis, won't bolt in.
Big bucks...welded can be made to bolt in.
Otherwise, sorta decent chassis with properly bolted is 95%+ of welded bolt in.
You doing street.....how deep are your pockets to properly fit a welded solution to a slightly tweaked chassis?
Likely (as an ex racer), most have no clue on the real difference. Pay as you want, your choice.....
My thought on bolted braces.
Some, the solid middle part at a bolted mount is undersized. When you clamp the bolt up, you have edge contact, not full face. A thin washer that takes up some gap adds a lot to the compression of the joint.
Lots of flat washers under bolt heads/nuts to spread loads can also help. A small nut face on a 1/8" thick strut mount may not clamp enough allowing movement. A decent flat washer allows better clamping, thus better force transfer.
Looking for both manifolds and Y-pipe for a V6 2007 or 2008.
