Hey y’all, I came across a 2008 tibiron gs,and I think it’s amazing car. Gets a lot of **** for no reason so I’m trying to mod this into a fun daily that can still slay at the track. I already have forged pistons and rods, cams. Cat back exhaust. Budget is 20,000

ideas?

You won't get much out of that 4 banger if you stay naturally aspirated. What brand pistons? What is your compression ratio at? What are your cam specs?

$20k is better spent on another platform that still has an active aftermarket. The Tiburon is a waste to spend that kind of money. You could build a turbo car with a standalone ECM for $10k or less.

There are still some really good suspension setups available still. Ive had excellent results with BCracing so far. A full sway bar setup, and front/center/rear bracing will really set the car for some track use. I sourced everything from The Korean Car Specialists except for the coilovers. I got those direct.

These bracing mods should help if you can find them. they should be under 1k in total. Fitment was great.
Ultra racing
UR-LA4-298 Front lower Brace
UR-TW2-622 Front strut bar brace ( I believe if you have a manual the revivor will be in the way.)
UR-AR23-180 23mm rear sway bar
UR-RL4-1912 Rear lower brace
UR-RE2-649 Rear strut bar brace
UR-RO2-650 Room bar

This brand used to be sold on Tuscani customs i only got the two point one that connects the radiator support its a two point. Fitment was great.

I have most of these and all I got to say is she grips. I am also in the process of making it a track car.

if you're down on power, the appreciable way to get more power from it is to do a turbo build. with those forged pistons, you won't be taking full advantage of it till you have boost. you can adapt an evo 8/9 turbo manifold, turbo, and downpipe, but a lot of the rest has to be fully custom fabricated.

piggyback tuner will be necessary at minimum, and it may be difficult to keep the tune from shifting around because the stock ECU likes to change fuel trims if it senses things aren't in the 13:1-14:1 AFR area. (which is not good for trying to make appreciable power with turbos)

there's not really any tuners who will tune it since ppl don't work with these platforms anymore, so you'll be a bit in the dark there unless you go full stand-alone EMS

Lol don't bother modding a naturally aspirated 2.0L the V6 is stronger in every category when it comes to a naturally aspirated build.

Just turbo the 2.0L and you won't need to spend all $20k. It'll need to be a fully custom setup though.
