Hiya, I'm trying to find the parts to do the timing etc on my 2003 2.0L G4GC tib in Australia, and i'm trying to do as much at the same time as i can like the water pump, tensioner, idler pulley, accessory belts and i'm trying to work out if theres anything else I need.
Repco has multiple timing belt and water pump kits that say they're for my vehicle but I can't tell the differences between them, and there was a couple those kind of kits online through other Australian sites.
is there a kit that has everything I need altogether, or do I have to buy the timing belt and water pump kit and everything else separately.

I can see some kits from America and and there is also one on Shark Racing but I'm not sure how to confirm if they'll be OK for my australian tib

I would highly recommend the Gates kit if you can possibly find it anywhere local or get it shipped to you reasonably. Other brands have been known to be hit and miss. The kit number for the 2.0 is TCKWP284, and since all Tibs were built in Korea there should be no compatibility problems.

The only thing I'm seeing is there are kits for before 9/11/06 and different kits for after. Not sure what changed though, and with the Gates kit the only difference is an A at the end of the kit number for after 06.

Interestingly I was getting spark plug leads and nearly bought the ones recommended on here (and also on the ngk part finding app) NGK RC-XX90 but for some reason on the Australian ngk part finder they had a different number listed, so I emailed NGK and they said I needed HYL805. So I wasn't sure if it was a similar situation and something was different for some reason, so thought I'd ask!

So the gates kit TCKWP284 looks to be the one for my 2003 tib, thanks so much for that. I can easily get in Australia

Just wondering who makes the idler pulley? Saw a post recommending a kdm one but the link was dead

Unless I'm misunderstanding the Gates kit has "T42015 Deflection/Guide Pulley, timing belt" that's not the idler pulley?
Sorry and thanks, this is something a bit out of my depth so I'll be getting a mechanic to do the install

I'm not as familiar with the 2.0 but the pics show 2 pulleys included, so one is likely the tensioner pulley and the other is the idler. The water pump doesn't show a pulley attached so it may be designed to move the old pulley over from the old water pump.

If someone has done this job on a 2.0 maybe they can chime in. I know the Gates kit for the V6 includes everything you need including the idler, so I assume the 2.0 kit does as well.
