I've been in the process of turboing my 2003 Hyundai tiburon gt v6 6 speed for awhile now I just haven't posted on here about it. I mainly only post to the Hyundai group pages on Facebook because those pages have more active views but anyway. I just want to show you guys the progress I've made this is no diy.
So far I have a atp turbo up pipe that is mebt to fit on the stock catted exhaust manifolds but the guy I bought this set up off of custom fitted dc ceramic coated headers. Then I have a big Garrett gtx3582r ebay knock off surprisingly these turbos are pretty good they are dual ball bearing and have a billet compressor wheel and is actually balanced pretty well , this turbo has made over 700whp maxed out on other cars without issues so I know with the 12 psi max I will run on this turbo I will have no reliability issues with the turbo hopefully this and many other things will help me achieve my goal of 400whp on a complete stock long block with 88k miles. I also have a megasquirt ms2 ecu that has a lot of mods added like boost control, launch control, and most importantly flex fuel ability, yes ill be running e85 which will help a lot at keeping the motor happy it will actually be set up so that on 93 octane I'll be running 8 ish psi for hopefully mid 300s and then when I put e85 in the flex fuel sensor will sense the higher ethanol content and up the boost to 12 psi or anywhere in between based on the ethanol content. Also I have a walbro 255 to supply fuel still need to get my 1000cc injectors though, I also have a spec stage 3+ clutch to hold the power along with a fidanza light weight flywheel and also a obx lsd in the trans. I also have a cxracing intercooler and universal intercooler piping and a few other things I'll list later put ill post the pics below.
