I just bought a 05 SE with 14000 miles , if I take the VIN into the dealer to find out what work has been done on the car as in maybe replaced clutch or along that line can they tell me? I don't want to raise any problems when I come in for warranty work. Kind of like saying I know they have bad clutches but I bought it anyhow. So can I upgrade and then warranty may be gone.
Thanks

Yes, you can but they can only tell you about any work done by a Hyundai dealer. They can't tell you if work was done at private shop.

I did this when I bought my mother-in-law a used '03 Accent.

We can do that at Toyota, as long as it was warranty work. Customer pay work history can only be found if you know what dealerships they used.
