Hi there,

My 08' 6speed came with an aftermarket short shifter that ended up being broken (A weld broke and the knob and the attached metal separated from the rest of it). I found an 06' 6speed at a local Pick-n-Pull and I was planning on going to check it out and seeing if it still had its oem shifter. Anything I should look out for when inspecting it?

Thanks.

If it has the shifter, I'm sure it's fine. Can't think of anything that would break or wear out on the stock shifter.

I was going to pull the Ralco shifter out of my tib before I junked it, but I was in a hurry and forgot. I still have the stock one somewhere, but it would probably cost more to ship to Canada than what it would cost you from the scrap yard.

There shouldn't really be anything to worry about. And I am sure you could find one online, albeit more expensive than a junkyard.

That being said, the 6spd shifter is more complex than the 5spd so just make sure everything you take off gets put back on.
